The days are coming, says the LORD,

In those days Judah shall be safe

we earnestly ask and exhort you in the Lord Jesus that,

<Profession of Faith>- Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed

I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. 

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. 

God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. 

For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man.

For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. 

He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. 

He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. 

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, 

who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. 

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. 

I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. 

<The Universal Prayer>  

+ Turning to the Lord who unceasingly shows us his love, we offer our prayers and petitions for all the world.  

1. That God’s Word in this Advent season will awaken steadfast hope that our salvation is at hand, we pray to the Lord. ◎ Lord, hear our prayer.

2. For Pope Francis, may his words of teaching and exhortation invite us and all the world to greater lives of faith, hope and charity, we pray to the Lord. ◎ Lord, hear our prayer.

3. For leaders of nations, especially where bloodshed is taking place; may they work for justice and protection for their people, we pray to the Lord. ◎ Lord, hear our prayer.

4. For all who struggle with fear and anxiety; may this Advent season invite them to new hope and peace, we pray to the Lord. ◎ 

5. For us as we gather here in prayer today, may our friendship increase as a parish community as we choose to know one another more deeply, we pray to the Lord. ◎ 

+ Lord God, guide us always in your truth and teach us.  Hear our prayers as we begin this season of preparation for the coming of your Son and draw us ever closer to you.  We ask this through Christ our Lord.
